The purpose of internal communications is twofold. It must identify and prepare relevant content, while also developing, establishing, and cultivating the appropriate communication instruments. Internal communications aims to make staff aware of developments and changes that take place within the enterprise, how these apply to them, and which strategies and goals they serve. Because convinced and convincing employees are of immense value to an organization.
Internal communication extends to all structural levels of an organization and is principally in the form of dialogue. In addition to shaping the flow of information, empowering organization members in their communication roles is among the responsibilities of internal communications. Communication is never an end in itself but must support the primary goals of an organization.
