Development of a Mission & Values Statement for a Swiss Federal Office


Client:
Mid-sized Swiss federal office, receiving above-average public attention.

Task:
Enzaim Communications provided methodological support in the development and introduction of a new mission and values statement. The project was kicked off with an analysis of the former mission and values statement and a survey investigating the current and desired future organizational culture based on the Cameron-Quinn framework. This was followed by the development of a concept for, and moderation of, a management meeting focusing on values and cultural issues. In the development phase, we outlined and moderated several workshops with top management. Involvement of employees was achieved within the scope of focus groups to test and refine the definition of the chosen values. Finally, we developed a concept for the introduction of the new mission and values statement with both middle management and nonmanagerial employees.
